Wellington Male Voice Choir invites you to come and listen to one of our practise sessions.

We meet every Thursday from 7:30pm to 9:30pm in the Tawa Union Church Hall, Elena Place, Tawa. We break for quarter of an hour at about 8:30pm. At the end of the practise, some of us stay for a cup of tea and chat for a few minutes. Once a month, the ladies of the Church put on a gold coin supper as a fundraiser.

Our range of music spans many styles. We sing songs from popular music genres spanning many decades. Typically, we might be singing a mixture of music from the shows, popular and folk songs from the sixties, religious songs, sea shanties, traditional melodies and current favourites. We also sing a number of songs from other lands.

The Choir puts on two major concerts each year, with invited guest artists. These are usually in May/June and October/November time. Funds raised from these concerts is donated to our charity of choice, currently the Wellington Free Ambulance Service.

In addition, we perform by request at various functions and venues. Typically, we would be invited to sing at old folks homes, school fairs, weddings and such like events.
